Online quotation and application procedure
Our online quotation system is designed to make it as simple as possible for you to get an instant, accurate quote. It will provide you with an indication of how much your cover will cost based on the information you provide. The prices are given on the assumption that you are in good health.
Once you have decided on a quote/policy that is right for you, the next step is to apply to the insurance company. They will need to assess your application before making you a final offer. This assessment will be based on the information that you provide during your application. In some cases an additional phone call from a trained nurse who will assess your medical history may be required. The actual premium that the insurance company is able to offer you may differ from the initial quoted premium after this assessment.
With some of the insurance companies you may be able to get cover immediately. However, in some cases additional information may be required. It may be that they either need to speak to yourself by telephone, or request information from your doctor via a report, and very occasionally a medical may be requested. In which case it is possible that the application process may take anywhere between a few days and several months to complete.
Unfortunately the timescale involved in getting your policy started is determined by the insurance companies and not by us.
It is only once you have received an offer of acceptance from the insurance company that the price for your policy shall be fixed.
